A knowledge benchmark study under ICZMP

Abstract

Gujarat Ecology Commission carried out a study of Marine Mammals found along the Gujarat Coast. The aim of the study was to understand the habitat and present status of marine mammals thereby coming up with a comprehensive Conservation Action Plant through a socio-economic survey. During the survey 284 fishermen were interviewed across 18 villages along the coast covering 7 districts.
